About a month ago I went to the opening night of a wonderful exhibition of photos by Madrid artist Goyo Valmorisco, who seeks out ripped billboard posters and beautifully records their complex treasures of layered texture, colour and image...no photoshop here...
The snippets and glimpses raise in me a sense of joyful expectation which I'd never get from the ads and posters in their pristine state.
Here's the link to his website http://www.goyovalmorisco.com
and here's the link to the events page of the Casa del Arco, the excellent local gallery where the exhibition was staged https://www.facebook.com/events/305938982855796/
My favourite image of his, but it's really hard to choose https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=519520108066557&set=a.519519741399927.123125.159121304106441&type=1&theater
and a similar one I found in La Linea about a week after the exhibition
